Edward C. Merlo Institute of Environmental Technology’s mission is to prepare students to be successful and prosper in the global economy. We equip students with the skills, knowledge, and abilities they need to be successful in their postsecondary education and future careers. We accomplish our mission by providing a safe, relevant and engaging learning environment including geospatial concepts while maintaining high academic standards for all students.
A student project
As part of a SkillsUSA project, a group of Merlo students worked with the San Joaquin County Public Works Division to create this map. The map shows locations people can go to turn in old medications as part of the annual DEA Drug Take Back. This is one example of Merlo students using Geospatial Technologies.
